Enjoy Lapland's summer and the beautiful landscapes of Aavasaksa by paddling in a canoe or packraft.
A guided paddling trip is a safe and easy way to enjoy Lapland's summer with the help of a paddling guide. Paddling is one of the best ways to move leisurely on the water and admire the surrounding nature. The trip is also suitable for beginners, before the trip we familiarize ourselves with canoe and packraft management and the safety instructions for paddling. In the lower part of the route, there are feeding marks of the European beaver and there is also a chance to see a beaver swimming in the river.
The route starts from Tengeliönjoki below the Haapakoski power plant and ends at Tornionjoki in Närkki (Bed & Padel). The route has an easy rapids section (Kuuroskoski), which can also be bypassed by swimming the canoe along the shore, by carrying a canoe/packraft on land, or by descending together with a guide.
